Mission Statement
Our Lady of Mount Caritas, OSB, Inc.
Our nonprofit was formed in 1979 to provide help to the people of the Town of Ashford, CT, and the communities of the Quiet Corner of Connecticut.
Providing help has changed over the many decades. At present it means to work with families that are in a counseling relationship with the mental health practice of Dr. Coleman. This means providing temporary housing and counseling so that these families do not fall into homelessness. If our nonprofit can get the funding, it is the hope of the Board of Directors to purchase the property that will now lease. The goal is to build affordable housing and provide counseling for those who are in danger of homelessness in our care.
We now announce our partnership with GEDWorks. This relationship will give free on line instruction for those who desire receiving a high school equivalency diploma. We hope to launch the program in the beginning of September 2023.
