Bring the Gift of Jesus to Each Other!

Healing is Available Though Us!

Happy Fourth Sunday of Advent!

Today our Gospel Portion (St. Luke 1: 39-45) is a wonderful reminder that we have to bring Jesus wherever we go! It will change our world and will change us too!

We read,

In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a city of Judah, and she entered the house of Zachariah and greeted Elizabeth. And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the child leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Luke 1: 39-41

We have two of the most important people in Christian history interacting and this interaction speaks volumes about how we are to love each other. Mary, the Mother of Jesus, comes to assist  Elizabeth, the Mother of John the Baptist. Mary is pregnant with Jesus and upon her encounter with her cousin, Her cousin and her nephew are filled with the Holy Spirit and are transformed.

We give many gifts during these festive days, but the most important gift is the reason for the season, Jesus!

May we not lose sight of what people need during Christmas. We need the love that is Divine!

May our encounters be filled with Divine Grace! May we be transformed in love!
