We Are Important!

We Are Loved!

“Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”
Matthew 10:31

Jesus reminds us of how much we are important to God. It is important that we are reminded of this often because that may not me the message we have to deal with in self talk, or in the relationships that we have with the people we encounter on the daily basis.

Jesus lived a life that tells us that we are valuable! Our value is not based on what we have done, or how much we have, but simply because we are!

Wow!

If we truly believed that we are valuable because we are, how would that change how we approach life? Perhaps we would take better care of ourselves. Maybe we would not have to self medicate ourselves with alcohol, or drugs, or anything else we use to make ourselves feel better about ourselves!

An ouch moment!

What if we read about Jesus’ messages as much as we follow our heroes in the world, would not our lives be changed!?

My friend, God joined us in Jesus Christ Our Lord to tell us of our true worth. May we not fear but trust and become the wonderful people we were created to be!

The Divine Presence Is Available!

Receive God’s Spirit!

Change Your World!

Jesus said to them, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”

And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. “

John 20: 21-22

Today brings Eastertide to a close. We close with the receiving of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Divine! With this Divine Presence we can continue the Way of Love and Peace that the Divine Presence entered into our world in Jesus Christ Our Lord.

God the Father sent God the Son, in Jesus, to live among us and show us by word and deed what Divine Living is all about, Total Trust in God! Trust includes the choice of love even in times of hate.

We are to be other Christs!

Jesus was conceived in the womb of Mary, we as other Christs, we were conceived at Pentecost when the Divine Spirit came in power and entered us!

However, there is a great challenge for us here!

Do not block the Divine Spirit!

Jesus did not hate anyone! Remember on the Cross when He was falsely accused, scourged and carried His instrument of execution, He said;

“Forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

Luke 23: 34

Hate blocks the Divine Presence!

May we be vessels of the Divine Presence, may we experience Pentecost always, and be the change in the world that Love brings!

Again, Happy Pentecost Sunday!

Celebrate Lent!

Be Victorious!

“…It is written: ‘The Lord your God, shall you worship and Him alone shall you serve.’”
Matthew 4:11

Happy Lent!

It is a wonderful time of the year! We begin, as always, with the Lentlike period of Jesus before He began His ministry. He had to enter a time of silence, prayer and fasting.

After this time , Jesus was physically weak, but spiritually Victorious! Jesus gives us a beautiful example of the results from silence, prayer and fasting!

We need Lent! We are in a time of hate! We are in a time of upheaval! But we can be Victorious over the present situation and all situations, if we take Lent seriously!

Love is all! Jesus response to the evil one can be summarized in Love of God, Love of Oneself and Love of All (that includes those who hate)!

May our Lent lead us to a beautiful Resurrection Sunday and the Victory of Love in Our Lives!

Come to Jesus!

Receive Total Healing!

Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; and he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving Him thanks. He was a Samaritan.
Luke 17: 15-16

There were 10 people who were healed, but only one returned to give thanks. Where are we in this story? We have been through so much during these last three years, are we like the Samaritan who comes to the Lord and thank Him that we are still on ”This Side of Eternity.”

When we follow the example of the “Thankful Samaritan”, our world changes!

A spirit of thanksgiving changes our reality! To acknowledge that ever moment we have is a Divine Gift, we allow ourselves to be in relationship with the Healer, Jesus, and have true peace!

The Thankful Samaritan experienced total healing, which is being in relationship with the Healer! May we follow his example!

Thank you Lord! All I want to do is thank you Lord!

Jesus, The Good Shepherd

We Will Follow Him!

“And when he had found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes, he calls his friend and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.’”
Luke 15:6-7

Today we remember 11 September 2001, the Patriots Day! And for many of us, who this day touch very deeply, it is good to celebrate Good Shepherd Day! It is consoling that we have a Lord who is so much in love with us that He seeks us out!

9/11 is the result of hate, and we all have to deal with hateful people who do terrible things in our lives, but we need not be hateful! We accept the reality of what we have gone through, we accept the losses of people, places, and things. And we wait in hope for the peace that the Good Shepherd, Jesus, brings to our lives. When we are lost is sadness and despair, Jesus reached out to us in His word and in people who love, and He brings us back to peace!

Let us pray for one another!

Love Never Fails!

Acts of Love Are Forever!

“But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you; and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’

So is he who lays up treasures for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
Luke 12:20-21

“Rich toward God”, powerful words of challenge to lifestyle. God has provided all, our life breath, our mental capacity, and all that matters. What is required of us, Love.

One who abides in love, abides in God, and God abides in them.

If what we value the most is living a life of love, then our treasure will never fail!

Possessions in the world are very important, but they fail! We must prepare ourselves for our financial wellbeing, however, the key is, how do we acquire these things.

Is love the way we treat others? Things acquired in this way connects us to the Divine, and we have inner peace! This peace does not fail!

Welcome Jesus!

Hospitality is Love!

“Now as they went on their way, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha received Him into her house.”
Luke 10:38

Love is more than a feeling! We love by the way we treat people. Today we enter into the mystery of Jesus entering the home of Martha and her family. This holy event models for us love in action.

Jesus found a home where he could rest!Jesus was always taking care of others, teaching in the synagogues, preaching in the mountains and the fields, feeding the multitude and healing the sick. Martha and Mary participated in the Divine Work of Jesus by welcoming Him in their home.

Welcoming participated in the Divine Plan!

Martha’s home was a physical place, however the true home was Martha’s heart!

Can we do the same? Our homes and our hearts need not be perfect, Jesus will change our reality with His presences.

Will Jesus find a welcome place in our hearts and homes? Will we allow Him to change our lives?

Be Jesus, Serve Jesus!

Be a Neighbor of Jesus!

(Jesus said) “Which of these three, do you think, proved neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?” He said, “the one who showed mercy on him.” And Jesus said to him, ”Go and do likewise.”
Luke 10: 36-37

Jesus is very demanding! He has no time for fake religious observance. In the Parable of the Good Samaritan, He tells us that we must love individuals in need. Life can be cruel! We may not be able to change that reality, but regardless of who the person who suffers, we must be Jesus to them.

St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, “Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time, and always start with the person nearest you.”

Mother Teresa’s words are not “Pie in the sky” religion, rather, this is how she lived and challenges us to do the same!

Who do we need to be the Good Samaritan to today?

May We Experience Unconditional Love and Mercy!

Believe in Jesus and Be Blest!

Happy Divine Mercy Sunday!

Jesus said to Thomas, “Have you believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who not have seen me, and yet believe.”
John 20: 29

Having a personal relationship with Jesus changes one’s life. Perhaps it was easier to develop a relationship with the Lord when he walked the earth. However, wherever we are, we can have this relationship through our human relationships, in the Word, in the Sacraments, and though prayer. Our lives will keep being transformed in this interchange.

Whenever life gets complicated and we start feeling bad about ourselves, come to Jesus; talk to Him. Received His Mercy; received His peace! We will rise from the feelings that are negative about ourselves; we will be transformed in Jesus’ mercy and love. Mercy and love, with Jesus is Divine, and unconditional. There exists no better relationship!

Come to Jesus and be blest!

Christ the King!

Let Jesus Reign Over All!

Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.
John 18:37

There are so many things that are happening in our world, in our society, in our families and in our personal lives that it is so easy to be distracted. The Pandemic of 2020 has gone into 2021, and does not seem to be stopping! The emotions, and our reactions that come out of these distractions can change how we treat ourselves and others. We need the reminder of this Solemn Feast Day of Christ the King to regain our focus.

In all situations, Jesus Reigns!

If we stay present to this Kingdom, in our total being, then the things in this world have a focus and a purpose that brings us back to love.

Love is Always the Answer!

Jesus is Love! When He is our King, then we can maneuver in the chaos not be controlled by it!

Have Feast Day!

Pax.
