The World Need Servants!Bring the Peace of Jesus to everyone we encounter!

Jesus encourages us to be like Him in the world. Imagine that God became one of us to show us how God wants us to live. Our focus must be on serving one another, regardless of who the person is, including those who have betrayed or hurt us deeply. Our love must be supernatural. The Kingdom of God must be a reality in the way we live and treat one another. Our Gospel Portion helps us enter into Divine Servitude. We read St. Luke 17:5-10, and we will concentrate on

“So you also, when you have done all that is commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.”
Luke 17:10

Sometimes our Lord says strong things that may shake us. However, we need to be shaken up at times so that we can be true to ourselves as His disciples.

As disciples of Jesus, it is our duty to serve others. It is easy to forget that God became one with us to serve us, because we did not know how to behave.

We are called to serve others! Remember, at the Last Supper, Jesus washed the feet of His Disciples. Jesus gave us the example of Divine Servitude. This process of service is not an option! It is our duty!

Please take Jesus seriously and be a teacher of the Kingdom by how you treat everyone.

An excellent example of this teaching ministry is found in the life of St. Francis of Assisi. He famously said, and I paraphrase, preach the Gospel at all times, and if necessary, use words. And he also said that the only sermon people may experience is in our actions.

May we do our duty as disciples of Jesus Christ and expect nothing in return, other than being faithful to the Lord!

We Serve to Lead!

Jesus is our model!

In our Gospel Portion today, St. Mark 10: 35-45, we read about servant leadership.

“But it shall not be with you, but whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you, must be slave of all.” Mark 43-44

Jesus has turned the world of leadership upside down. He showed this with His very life. He allowed Himself to serve others so that He would lead a service revolution!

Leadership in Jesus’ Way is not about wealth or power, but making everyone better in the encounter with Him.

The world would be a better place if the world took Jesus’ words and example seriously!

But like Jesus, we change the world by living out His message and His example.

Are we truly willing to lead like Jesus’ leads?

Have a blessed Lord’s Day!

Jesus Is So Gentle!

Jesus’ Message is Stong!

Jesus in our Gospel Portion today, St. Mark 9: 30-37, reveals how patient He was with His Apostles and He reveals that He is patient with His disciples today and until His Glorious Return. We read from this portion,

And He took a child and put him in the midst of them; and taking him in His arms, He said to them, “Whoever receives one such child in My Name receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but Him who sent Me.” Mark 9: 36-37.

The Apostles were confused. They did not know how to deal with the reality that Jesus would killed by those in authority over their people. They ignored this situation and went to what was easier to deal with, who would be first in Jesus’ Kingdom.

Jesus understood that Jesus’ execution was too much for them to handle, so He used this opportunity to explain what true leadership means. True leadership means receiving all people with love. A child represents someone that may only love you in return.

We have to serve a child! We have to protect a child! We have to guild a child! If we do these things, we are receiving Jesus!

Jesus promotes Servant Leadership! May we live what He promotes and change our world!

Be The Change That Jesus Wants!

The World Needs Our Apostleship!

In our Gospel selection from St. Mark that we read today, we see Jesus sending out the 12 Disciples. He gives them Divine Gifts that will change the world they enter into if they are received. We read,

And He (Jesus) called to Him the Twelve and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits. Mark 6:7.

By this point in the Gospel of St. Mark, these first leader of the Ministry of Jesus had been prepared to spread the ministry wherever they went. They were to be Jesus’ presence among those who received them.

Jesus is Divine Love in Person!

At this point in Jesus’ Ministry, He was located in one location at a time, but through the Twelve, He was present in six places more.

Jesus’ Power!

Where the Twelve went, they carried the Power of Jesus to combat the power of the evil one. The Power of Jesus was given through them as His agents!

Be part of the Divine Change!

Through the Power of Jesus, we too are able to make positive changes in the world where we are. But do not get discouraged when we are not received! Our obligation is to give of ourselves, people have the right to receive us or not. Or as Jesus said two thousand years ago,

“And if any place will not receive you and they refuse to hear you, when you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet for a testimony against them.” Mark 6:11.

We must move on! People need Jesus’ Power, hence do not fret about those who choose to stay without Him! Keep moving and be the change that you experienced in Jesus to those who receive you!

Wholeness of Life Matters!

How We Live Reveals Who We Are!

Jesus had a real problem with hypocrisy! He was quite clear to the religious leadership of His people, Judaism. He heard one thing from their mouths, but He saw something different in their actions. Jesus found their way of living a major cause of His concern for them and the people that they were serving.

Jesus wanted better for His people, then and now!

It is not enough to have a title like teacher or father. All teachers, for Jesus’ Followers, must have as their real Teacher Jesus! All fathers, if they are Jesus’ Followers, must have Father God as their real Father Source! This requires the leadership of the people to be teachable!

Jesus tells us:

“He who is greatest among you shall be your servant; whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbled himself will be exalted.”
Matthew 23:11-12

Being humble means being teachable! Being able to be taught by Father God and the Lord Jesus will allow each one of us to be Servant-Leaders after the Heart of Jesus!

Be Good Tenants

To Be Good, We Must Work Out of Love!

“Therefore, I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation producing fruits of it.”
Matthew 21:43

In the Parable of the Tenants, we see the reality that some workers work for their own gain and not for the gain of the owner. Jesus uses this parable to help us see the problem of working in the vineyard and the fruit produced.

There is a crisis of leadership. There is leadership based on the things of the world and there is leadership based on Jesus. This problem existed in Jesus time on earth and it continues today.

We have a choice to make. Will we follow Jesus and make good fruit? Will we allow our love to bear fruit at the corner of the world were we are? True followers of Jesus will produce good fruit.

Our world will be transformed if followers of Jesus would bear good fruit!

May we always be good tenants, tenants that all belongs to the Lord!
