The Lord desires to feel us with Himself!
What a glorious yet challenging time Lent can be for us!
Happy Third Sunday in Lent!
On this International Day of Women, we are reminded about one woman who is speaking to us today after almost two millennia, the Samaritan Woman.
We have her encounter with the Lord as our Gospel Portion for today, St. John 4:5-42, and let us meditate on
“Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst; the water that I shall give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
John 4:14
In Jesus’ conversation with the Samaritan Woman, He reveals that He will provide for her and all of us!
This woman was lacking something deep within her, but could not find it. Her marriages did not fulfill this need. She was trying to quench her thirst for meaning in all of the wrong places. Jesus revealed to her that He is what she needed.
Lent is so beautiful! We are reminded that we thirst and need Jesus to quench it.
Let us put ourselves in the place of the Samaritan Woman and let us receive the Lord! He wants us to quench our thirst with Him. May we all share our encounter with Jesus with everyone who will listen. May we all quench our thirst for meaning in the Lord!
Happy International Women’s Day!
Be blest and be a blessing!
