Being a leper was a terrible thing. You would be like the living dead. All of the usual things of life would be denied you and for good reason. You presence in society would be dangerous because the disease that you have was not curable and was contagious. You were dead to your family!
Jesus brings resurrection when He encounters us!
This poor leper went to Jesus and he became alive again; the incurable was cured! We may not be lepers but we do need Jesus! His love can bring us back to life. All we need to do is follow the former leper’s example: come to Jesus!
Jesus is our Valentine! True love cures! Let us love one another. Let us be a people of love!
