Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
We celebrate two important facts today, Jesus our Good Shepherd and the love of our Mothers. But, in one way, we are celebrating true love.
Mothers are our first shepherds. It is through our Mothers that we encounter Jesus, the Good Shepherd. Their love for us imparts the Divine Love and because of their love, we can experience the Divine Love.
So we celebrate, as best we can, the love of the person who has taught us how to love, our Mothers. We celebrate, with all our strength, the Love in which all Christian Love is based: Jesus, the Good Shepherd.
We celebrate Unconditional Love!
