St. John 3:16

Let us rejoice!

St. John 3: 14-21

Our Gospel for today is possibly the most quoted Gospel selection used. This is especially the case for a key part of it, John 3:16. This verse brings so much joy because it tell us, not matter what we have done in the past, no matter whatever we do in the future, we are Loved!

Eternal Life begins now! When we receive the Love that has been given us by the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus, and live in this reality, we are eternal. Death, then, is only a doorway to continued life with the Lord. Living in Jesus changes how we approach relationships and our actions. We live a new life without end, because Jesus Won the Victory over death! To quote St. Paul: “O death where is thy sting or grave thy victory.” 1 Cor 15: 55-57

As we enter that final weeks in Lent 2021, and we have gone through a most difficult year 2020, be encouraged by the fact that death has been conquered and we share in that Victory!

No Short Cuts!

From a dear Friend:

Embrace love, joy and peace. Do not take shortcuts – you will get cut short. Bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Be marked by faithfulness, self control and gentleness. Receive abundantly what you need to bear fruit. It is always available as long as you have a relationship with God. Align your life with what the Holy Spirit has for you. With Christ all things are possible. Allow the Holy Spirit to work in you. Stay connected to the Source. The more time you spend with God, the more time you can learn and pick up His good habits. Let God do incredible and miraculous things in you. Enjoy the journey and follow through. You are deserving of an abundant life. You matter and you are loved. Blessings 💙

Jesus cleanses us!

As we celebrate the 3rd Sunday of Lent, we find Our Lord Jesus cleansing the Temple of Jerusalem. ( John 2:13:25) The market place has become part of the Holy Place; there is no room for both. The Market Place replaced the Divine One. The Temple cannot be a House of Prayer for all People and be cheating innocent worshipers.

Jesus is the true Temple! For those who follow Him, us, we become temples too!

In this time of Lent, Jesus will shake us up too! Jesus will remove from us the Market Place that we have let into ourselves. He is able and will do the cleansing if we give our whole self to Him!

Have a blessed Sunday! We, the Caritas Community, are with you in prayer.

Embrace yourself!

From a dear Friend:

Embrace your miraculous journey. As you conduct daily reflections remove all that stands in your way of abiding in Christ. Create the “room to breathe” so you can fully receive all that God has for you on a daily basis. Learn from yesterday and let go of it. Enter today with gratitude that you were blessed with another opportunity to go forth and be all you can be. Your journey was created for you and no one else. Embrace it and let your light shine bright. Be kind to yourself and take time to REST – it is necessary. Everything begins with YOU – You matter and you are loved. Blessings. 💙

It is good to be here!

On this Second Sunday of Lent we meditate on the Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Gospel of St. Mark.

We join the three future leaders of the Followers of Jesus: Peter, the first Pope; James, the Head of the Church of Jerusalem, who was died as a martyrs; John, the Beloved Disciple, the author of St. John’s Gospel, Revelation and the Epistles that carry his name. And we experience the Law and the Prophets meet together in Jesus. We know that all aspects of our lives are brought together in Jesus and we hear the Father:

This is my beloved Son, listen to Him! Mark 9:7

We need Transfiguration Moments! May this Sunday and every Sunday be Transfiguration Moments for us so that during the week we can hold on to hope!

Follow the Rabbi!

The Spirit immediately drove Jesus into the desert. Mark 1:12

We begin the First Sunday of Lent by following Jesus in the desert. We walk with Jesus, fasting with Him and preparing ourselves to be more like Him. Jesus is the way in which we become Jesus in the World.

Tremendous evil is ever present. The evil one is ever tempting us to leave the Jesus’ approach to life. But our Rabbi, the Lord Jesus gives us the way of victory over evil; Jesus is the way!

The Kingdom of God is present when Jesus lives in us!

Have a blessed Lent! The Mount Caritas Community is praying for you!
