Be Jesus, Serve Jesus!

Be a Neighbor of Jesus!

(Jesus said) “Which of these three, do you think, proved neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?” He said, “the one who showed mercy on him.” And Jesus said to him, ”Go and do likewise.”
Luke 10: 36-37

Jesus is very demanding! He has no time for fake religious observance. In the Parable of the Good Samaritan, He tells us that we must love individuals in need. Life can be cruel! We may not be able to change that reality, but regardless of who the person who suffers, we must be Jesus to them.

St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, “Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time, and always start with the person nearest you.”

Mother Teresa’s words are not “Pie in the sky” religion, rather, this is how she lived and challenges us to do the same!

Who do we need to be the Good Samaritan to today?

Live Love Now!

Begin Again In Jesus!

Jesus said to him, “No one who sets a hand to the plow and looks to what was left behind is fit for the Kingdom of God.”
Luke 9:62

Each day is a new beginning!

The Kingdom of God is a Now Thing! Our focus must be on loving those we encounter now! What we did in the past, though it has impact on our present, we must let go of because it may block the command of building the Kingdom of Love in the present moment. Jesus wants us to make His presence alive in the here and now, not our past issues!

Let go and let God!

Jesus took care of our past mistakes, this is usually what we concentrate on. Jesus brought our past to the Cross and it has been washed clean. Trust Him and let us move forward!

Let us be Kingdom People Now!

Let Us Live In The Divine Life!

Happy Trinity Sunday!

Jesus said to His Disciples: “I have much to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. But when He comes, the Spirit of Truth, He will guide you to all truth.
John 16:12

Little by little we will understand more, and more.

Our limited minds cannot handle too much information all at once. We would be overwhelmed! For the first three hundred years, the followers of Jesus world suffer greatly. Imagine living in Jesus would mean so much suffering and the possibility of death. We had to experience the tremendous love of the relationship with Jesus, love of the Creator and the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit, to be willing to give our entire selves to this Living in the Divine Life. We had to realize, by experience, that this is the Way to Peace.

Persecution still exists!

The radical life of true followers of Jesus is uncompromising! It is a life not only with words, but more importantly, living the Radical Love of the Trinity! This radical living is a challenge to those comfortable with speaking words of love, but doing actions of hate.

The Spirit will guide you to the Truth!
John 16:12

True followers of Jesus experience the Truth and they live like the One they follow, even to join Him on the Cross!

Have faith, He Rose again, so we will rise too!

May We Experience Unconditional Love and Mercy!

Believe in Jesus and Be Blest!

Happy Divine Mercy Sunday!

Jesus said to Thomas, “Have you believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who not have seen me, and yet believe.”
John 20: 29

Having a personal relationship with Jesus changes one’s life. Perhaps it was easier to develop a relationship with the Lord when he walked the earth. However, wherever we are, we can have this relationship through our human relationships, in the Word, in the Sacraments, and though prayer. Our lives will keep being transformed in this interchange.

Whenever life gets complicated and we start feeling bad about ourselves, come to Jesus; talk to Him. Received His Mercy; received His peace! We will rise from the feelings that are negative about ourselves; we will be transformed in Jesus’ mercy and love. Mercy and love, with Jesus is Divine, and unconditional. There exists no better relationship!

Come to Jesus and be blest!

Be Available! Pray, pray and pray!

Bear Fruit!

“Sir, leave it for this year also, and I shall cultivate the ground around it, and fertilize it; it may best fruit in the future.”
Luke 13:9

What an important time Lent is, but we can make it wonderful! Our Lord will use this time to cultivate our lives. The goal is to bear fruits of love and peace. The world need us to bear fruit abundantly!

We are already at the third week of Lent, and we have this wonderful reminder of the Parable of the Fig Tree. However, if we do not heed the message the Lord is giving us, it is just a beautiful example of literature.

Be available to be cultivated!

In our prayer we allow ourselves be cultivated and fertilized with the Holy Spirit, and bear fruit to change our world. Jesus wants us to do this, He will always be available to do this, but we must do our part, pray!

Be fruitful!

Serve the Lord!

Receive the Best!

Do whatever He tells you to do.
John 2:5

Jesus’ Mother had her Son help a couple make their wedding day special. Jesus in doing this sign shows His love for people. However, those involved in this miracle had to follow what Jesus told them to do.

Jesus uses us, we are the servant at the wedding we call life!

The waiters in the Wedding of Cana, did not understand why Jesus told them to pure water. Why? How does that make sense?

Following Jesus does not have to make sense, but if we do, our situations in life will be transformed.

But you have kept the good wine until now.
John 2:10

Water was turned into the choicest wine, a way was made out on no way, because Jesus got involved in the situation.

Let Jesus have all of our situations and do what He tells us to do!

Let us live lives of Jesus’ love!

Christ the King!

Let Jesus Reign Over All!

Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.
John 18:37

There are so many things that are happening in our world, in our society, in our families and in our personal lives that it is so easy to be distracted. The Pandemic of 2020 has gone into 2021, and does not seem to be stopping! The emotions, and our reactions that come out of these distractions can change how we treat ourselves and others. We need the reminder of this Solemn Feast Day of Christ the King to regain our focus.

In all situations, Jesus Reigns!

If we stay present to this Kingdom, in our total being, then the things in this world have a focus and a purpose that brings us back to love.

Love is Always the Answer!

Jesus is Love! When He is our King, then we can maneuver in the chaos not be controlled by it!

Have Feast Day!

The Widow Challenges Us!

“Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who contributing to the treasury.” Mark 12:43

The Widow as a role model.

Jesus uses the woman as a challenge for all people. We do not know this person’s name, but what is important is how she approached her faith in God.

#TotalTrust

Perhaps this story also points to another reality, this widow lived the way she acted in this occasion. May be she lived a life of total surrender. It takes a great deal of trust to give from your “want” as compared to those who give from their “plenty”.

#GodWillMakeAWay

Jesus is not making a commandment here, He is, however, giving us a challenge to look at ourselves and see how we fit in the story.

Meet the Challenged!

Faith leads to Miracles!

Happy Fourth of July! Be safe and be well!

And He marveled at their disbelief.
Mark 6:6

We can join Jesus in His amazement at His own people. We may also join Him in the sadness that His love was blocked by contempt.

Familiarity breeds contempt!

Jesus knew the people from His home village and He loved them as He loves everyone. But because of the wall that they made, they could not receive His love. What a sad story! It is a terrible loss of a wonderful opportunity for healing miracles to happen in the lives of the people who knew Jesus!

Familiarity breeds contempt!

We can become the village folk of Jesus’ day. Jesus must be kept on the throne in our lives. Let no wall block Him from loving us into His miracles and blessings! May our faith be ever strong!
