The Divine Presence Is Available!

Receive God’s Spirit!

Change Your World!

Jesus said to them, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”

And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. “

John 20: 21-22

Today brings Eastertide to a close. We close with the receiving of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Divine! With this Divine Presence we can continue the Way of Love and Peace that the Divine Presence entered into our world in Jesus Christ Our Lord.

God the Father sent God the Son, in Jesus, to live among us and show us by word and deed what Divine Living is all about, Total Trust in God! Trust includes the choice of love even in times of hate.

We are to be other Christs!

Jesus was conceived in the womb of Mary, we as other Christs, we were conceived at Pentecost when the Divine Spirit came in power and entered us!

However, there is a great challenge for us here!

Do not block the Divine Spirit!

Jesus did not hate anyone! Remember on the Cross when He was falsely accused, scourged and carried His instrument of execution, He said;

“Forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

Luke 23: 34

Hate blocks the Divine Presence!

May we be vessels of the Divine Presence, may we experience Pentecost always, and be the change in the world that Love brings!

Again, Happy Pentecost Sunday!

Jesus Is With Us!

May We Recognize Him On Our Journey In Life!

While they were talking and discussing with one another, Jesus drew near and went with them.
Luke 24:15

They were not alone in their distress.

The Disciples of Jesus were returning to their old lives. They were defeated. They were on the road to Emmaus. Their hope was gone, Jesus! Their hope, the one they gave up their former lives to follow, Jesus, was nailed to the Cross, suffered death, and was buried. There was tremendous sadness! All hope for them died on that Cross!

Jesus was available to them!

Death was defeated, but these disciples did not know this. But this fact would be made available to them. They welcomed the stranger, but the stranger was the Lord. Their defeat was transformed into Victory on that road!

We are disciples today!

In our journey in life, there will be times when we feel defeated. There will be times that hope is lost. Trust, we have not been abandoned! May we be open to recognized Jesus who is there on our journey and allow Him to bring us Victory.

Happy Palm Sunday!

Love Still Wins!

And the crowds that went before Him and those that followed Him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
Matthew 21: 9

People can be fickle!

What a glorious scene of Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem! It is a scene that brings joy to the heart, and has been doing so for almost two thousand years! This day is celebrated with such pomp and circumstance throughout most of the world and the symbol of palms are brought back to the homes to remember how great a celebration of this day is.

Yet we know that this same week would end with the Lord Jesus being nailed to the Cross! How quickly people change!

However, one thing did not change, the Love that flowed out from Jesus remained constant though out, even to the end, as He said:

“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
Luke 23:34

Jesus had total trust in the Father! Jesus surrendered all to the Divine Will and Love!

Love Wins!

We know the end of the story! On the Eighth Day, that Sunday Most Glorious, Jesus Rose From The Dead! Hate loses!

Our Story and His Story!

We live in the world when people can be good to us or mean to us. But we have the model of Jesus to follow. If we live like Him, no matter what we have to go through, Love Wins! We will have the final Victory!

Happy Palm Sunday!

Be Authentic!

Say less, Be more!

“Let your light so shine before people, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven.”
Matthew 5:16

What do we need now?

Each individual has specific needs and one key need is authenticity! When we can accept who we are and work on our relationship with the Holy One, we can deal with all things that life throws at us.

We must be ourselves! This is God’s gift to us and to the world!

If we let the Divine One mold us, however painful that may be, then we can find true peace! The kind of peace that can look at the world and say “I am God’s Child and I will love everyone one!”.

What the world needs now?

Jesus told us to be Salt and Light! If we join Him, though we may be nailed to a cross, we follow Him and are worthy to be call and truly be His Sister or Brother! Our lives will give God the Glory!

St. Francis of Assisi lived this way and reminded us to preach often, and if you need to, use words!

Be Salt! Be Light! Change the World!

Keep Moving Toward The Light!

The Star is There, Trust!

When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy…
Matthew 3: 10

Happy Epiphany Sunday!

The above selection from the Gospel of St. Matthew points out the feelings of the Magi who had come to follow the Star. This light was a message for them of something great happening in the world. But then the Star disappeared!

The Star remained, but they could not see it!

They walked into a place of great darkness that covered their vision of the light of the Star!

The Wise Ones passed through the darkness in Trust!

Experience the joy they had felt! Their perseverance was rewarded, they met and adored the “Source of the Light “, Jesus!

May we follow the example of the Magi, when darkness comes our way, remember the Star is still there!

Move forward in Total Trust!

Year of Grace, 2022

Good Endings!

“But take heed to yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a snare.”
Luke 21:34

We are at the last moments of the last day of the Liturgical Year 2022 of the Roman Church, and it is time to let go of the old year, Scripturally speaking, and enter into our preparation for Christmas, Advent. Advent begins tomorrow.

The message for this day is to be alert!

There are so many things going on in our world that can deadened our hearts. There is so much death from natural causes, and human to human hate; this is our reality. We have a choice to make, to give up hope for a better day, or to be people of hope when all seems to be hopeless.

Choose hope!

Being alert means staying close to God knowing that we will have the Final Victory in God!

Pray that our hearts not been hardened, but rather supple in Divine Love!

Let us keep each other in prayer! It is our weapon against despair!

Jesus The Humble King!

Divine Humility Saves Us!

And he said, Jesus remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And He said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
Luke 23: 42-43

Jesus the King is humble!

The life, passion, death and resurrection of Jesus is a lesson in humility that changes our world. The use of humility in our lives must follow this example of Jesus on the Cross. It shows the Power of Love.

St. Dismas, the person who stole Heaven, one of the two criminals that were crucified with the Lord, had to be humble to receive Paradise. Humility for him meant being honest about his life, and trusting in Divine Mercy, and asking in total trust to be with Jesus forever!

Total trust in Jesus leads to Paradise with Him!

This is how we must celebrate the true meaning of the Feast of Christ the King, to know we are not worthy, but come to Jesus are we are, ask Him for mercy, and make Him King of Our Lives!

Hail King Jesus!

Happy Feast of Christ the King!

We Will Follow the Lord!

Jesus is Our Hope!

By your endurance you will gain your lives.
Luke 21:19

Life gets challenging! Many times we prepare for one thing, something positive, and yet we get the result of something negative, totally counter to our understanding. We have a choice to make, give up, or trust in Jesus and move forward. This is endurance!

We move forward in our lives, hoping to be instruments of Divine Love, yet doors keep closing in front of us. We still keep moving forward, we keep doing acts of love, yet may see no positive results, but we do not stop! This is endurance!

Why do we keep getting up when we are pushed down by people, places, and/or things? We choose to be who we are, not who others want us to be!

We follow Jesus who went to the Cross because He was/ is truly Himself.

Jesus is the Model of Endurance!

Jesus was nailed to the Cross, He died forgiving those who lied about Him, abused Him, but because He Endured, He Rose from the died and is with us who follow His Cross!

We will rise!

Peace.

Let Mercy Reign!

Mercy Over All!

And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham.

For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost.”
Luke 19:9-10

Jesus is present to everyone who seeks Him, and this is what we find in our friend Zacchaeus! We can assume many people would avoid him. Zacchaeus was a chief tax collector, and because of this, he was a wealthy person, and unliked because he collected money for Roman Empire, the occupation forces over Judea.

Zaccheaus had everything the world could offer him, but that was not enough for him! And that is not enough for us either!

Zacchaeus also had another obstacle other than be hated for his occupation, he was short in stature. But thanks be to God, God provided a tool that was present before Zacchaeus knew he needed it, a tree to climb, and used it to get the attention of Jesus! Jesus saw him, loved him, and gave us an example of how to be saved!

Jesus is always present to us, we must let go of whatever other people think of us, and our own limitations that may get in the way with our relationship with the Lord!

Jesus will say to us, what He said to Zacchaeus, “Salvation has come to this house!”.

Humility Matters!

Let Humility Reign!

“…(F)or everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Luke 18:14

Jesus tells us clearly what He wants from us. Jesus tells us to be more like Himself!

We can accomplish many things in the days of our lives, and these things can create in ourselves a false pride. A false pride is that we did these accomplishments by ourselves and for ourselves. This is a lie!

Everything we accomplished comes out of what God had given us!

All the World is a gift!

All we are belongs to the Creator!

Let us meditate on Divine Humility. God enters the world born in a cave/ stable, so that we could be saved and find true peace.

True peace is not found in things in this world, but rather found in total surrender to the Creator!

Let everything we have and everything we do come out of our total surrender to the Creator. May we be reflections of the Divine Humility!
