Care to Share!

What Must We Do To Prepare for Jesus?

And the multitude asked Him, “What then shall we do?” And He answered them, “One who has two coats, let one share it with the one who has none; and one who has food, let one do likewise.”
Luke 3:10-11

True joy comes out of love.

This is the season of giving and rightly so. People generally get this reality. There are many who need to give and there are so many in need to receive, this is love at work!

In sharing, in a significant way, we participate in the Divine love that Christmas Season reveals.

There is no greater gift than the Divine Gift, Jesus Christ Our Lord!

The gift of Jesus is unconditional love! Let us share with those who are in need and prepare our hearts to receive Jesus in an extraordinary way this Christmas!

Let Our Paths Be Made Straight!

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight His path.
Luke 3: 4

We need Christmas!

The Eternal One entered the world as an infant. Humble Jesus became one of us so that we can find peace. All the power in the world could not do it, but Jesus did and continues to do it, if we allow our path, our lives, to be available to Him!

In Christmas we begin again!

Chaos seems to rule in the world, but we do not have to be chaotic! We want to do so much to show how we love our family and friends. This can take our Inner-peace away. But this does not have to be the case. Let us find that inner-time by allowing the Holy Spirit to straighten our paths to receive Jesus again at Christmas! With Him, we will be well and our gift given, our desire to show love, will come out of a place of peace.

Hope!

Be Ready!

But take heed to yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a snare.
Luke 21:34

Happy New Liturgical Year!

We begin again with the reality that life, as we know it, will change. Will are still experiencing this reality in this season of COVID-19. The world which we once knew seems to be gone forever.

But our fear, through prayer and meditation, may change to hope.

Why?

We know the end of the story! Jesus walked the road of His Passion, Death, and Resurrection.

We do not face trouble circumstances without hope!

Let us remember that, though we may experience terrible things, we have Final Victory with Jesus Christ Our Lord!

Christ the King!

Let Jesus Reign Over All!

Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.
John 18:37

There are so many things that are happening in our world, in our society, in our families and in our personal lives that it is so easy to be distracted. The Pandemic of 2020 has gone into 2021, and does not seem to be stopping! The emotions, and our reactions that come out of these distractions can change how we treat ourselves and others. We need the reminder of this Solemn Feast Day of Christ the King to regain our focus.

In all situations, Jesus Reigns!

If we stay present to this Kingdom, in our total being, then the things in this world have a focus and a purpose that brings us back to love.

Love is Always the Answer!

Jesus is Love! When He is our King, then we can maneuver in the chaos not be controlled by it!

Have Feast Day!

End Times

Surrendering All

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. Mark 13:31

We are coming to the end of the Church year and Advent will begin again in two weeks; we are reminded of our end time, individual and general. Ends can be frightening!

Blessed Assurance!

Ends of time are new beginnings in Jesus! However, we must do our part. Each day, each moment of the day, is a preparation for the end of time. These moments could be full of joy instead of fear. Living in Jesus is our joy and our peace.

We must learn to pray with Bl. Charles de Foucauld:

“Father, I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will…”

Whatever happens, pandemics, or other challenging times, we are able to face them, because we are in Jesus! His grace is sufficient to provide for our peace.

Ends leads to new beginnings!

Welcome all things from the Lord!

The Widow Challenges Us!

“Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who contributing to the treasury.” Mark 12:43

The Widow as a role model.

Jesus uses the woman as a challenge for all people. We do not know this person’s name, but what is important is how she approached her faith in God.

#TotalTrust

Perhaps this story also points to another reality, this widow lived the way she acted in this occasion. May be she lived a life of total surrender. It takes a great deal of trust to give from your “want” as compared to those who give from their “plenty”.

#GodWillMakeAWay

Jesus is not making a commandment here, He is, however, giving us a challenge to look at ourselves and see how we fit in the story.

Meet the Challenged!

The Shema of Jesus

We Are Not Far From the Divine Kingdom!

“Hear O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all of your strength.”
Mark 12: 29-30.

Today we pray Jesus’ Shema, the central prayer of His People, the People of Israel. It is Jesus’ version because Jesus adds another phrase to the Shema found in the Torah, Deuteronomy 6: 4-5, “With all your mind”. It is significant because we are challenged to go beyond our heart to use our intellect to live the Shema in our lives.

Jesus challenges us to love the Divine One totally!

To love God totally, our will must be surrendered to the Divine Will! Our mind, our thoughts, must be conformed to this Will. Our thoughts of hate are incompatible and unacceptable because God is love!

Let us allow our total being to be an act of worship to the Eternal One!

Let us be like Jesus!

Lord Jesus, We Want To See!

And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has healed you”. And immediately he received his sight and follow Jesus on the way,
Mark 10:52

Bartimaeus was a blind person but he knew that he had the opportunity to see when he encountered Jesus. Originally he was not encouraged by others, but because of persistence, Jesus heard him and healed him.

This story can tell us many things about how we can live in the world today!

There are so many things going on in our world that we can easily be blinded by the confusion that is ever present. There are so many questions that we have to deal with. There is the on going Pandemic! There is hate that seems more present than love! And we have our usual struggles.

Lord Jesus we need to see!

People, places and things may keep us from Jesus. They may keep us from doing “the next right thing!”

Be like Bartimaeus, be persistent!

Jesus will open our eyes to see through the confusion. Also like Bartimaeus, we want to stay sighted, “going our way must be going Jesus’ Way”!

Servant Leadership

The Leadership in the Divine Kingdom!

“You know that those who are suppose to rule over the Gentiles lord it over them… But it shall not be so among you; but whoever would be great among you must be your servant…”
Mark 10:42-43

Jesus used the desire for greatness in the His Disciples, especially the desire of James and John to sit at His right and left in His Kingdom, to give the command of servant leadership. Jesus is quite clear, it shall not be so among you! The way of the Gentiles, that is the way of the World, must not be our way of treating one another.

We can look around our world and see that this command is often not followed. We must remember Jesus is speaking to each of us individually.

Jesus expects each one of us to respond to Him directly!

The way we treat each other is all we have the power to do. Our example can create the Divine Kingdom now! The command of Jesus is for each one of us, and we must follow it, each one of us and change the World!
