Follow the Divine Will!

Jesus looked upon him loved him, and said to him, “You lack one thing, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasures in Heaven; and come follow me.”
Mark 10:21

The “Rich Young Man” could not give his life away, at that time, to follow Jesus. We do not know the end of the story of this person’s life. It open ended.

This story can be about us. Do we have things in our lives that keep us from following Jesus? We may not be able to let these things go. These possessions are important to us. We may not want to let go of our attachments. But regardless of whatever these things things or concerns are, remember:

Jesus looks upon us and loves us!

The Divine Love is unconditional!

Jesus will never give up on us!

If we are not faithful, Jesus is always faithful!

#TotalTrust

Remember, in the story of the “Rich Young Man”, he walk away, Jesus remains. Jesus always remains! Maybe the young man return to Jesus because nothing is more important than Him!

May our return to Jesus be our story too!

Allow the Blessings! Do Not Get In The Way!

Be Blest By Jesus!

And He took them in His arms a blessed them, laying His hands upon them. Mark 10:16

Jesus loves the little children, all children and all that come to Him like children and He blesses them!

Yes, in reality Jesus love everyone. However the childlike are very special because they can receive Him completely. The obstacles of the world do not interfere. The childlike are real, they are humble and because of these things they can receive Jesus in a complete way. They can be transformed!

Receive the blessings of Jesus!

It is hard to surrender all of the things we carry emotionally and mentally and receive Jesus’ blessings, but it is the way to peace.

Let us today present ourselves to Jesus!

#TotalTrust

Let us allow Jesus to give us peace regardless of all of the challenges we bare!

Be The Change!

We Can Change Our World!

Truly I tell you, anyone who gives a cup of water in My Name, because they belong to Me, will be rewarded.
Mark 9:41

How can we change the World?

The key answer to this is, will we be the change?

If we live in the Almighty, and are available to the Almighty, then the Spirit of the Almighty can change us and through us, we are changing things.

We change the lives of others!

Jesus uses in His teaching about charity the giving a cup of water. Charity needs not be a grand action of giving tremendous things, rather it is creating in ourselves, through Divine Grace, a mindset of kindness.

In all things, be charitable!

Living charity changes us! If we give from our hearts not expecting anything in return, we allow this Grace of Peace to be born and remain in our lives.

We become the change that changes the World!

We Must Be Servants!

If we want to be first, we must be last and the servants of all. Mark 9:35

Jesus challenged His Disciples to change their thinking about how authority over people was to be practiced. Jesus lived this form of servant leadership, yet the Disciples could not receive it and continued to hold on to the worldly approach to leadership. This is quite normal. We must remember that Jesus died on the Cross, the ultimate example of servant leadership!

Jesus calls us to a Divine Way of life!

Jesus realized that His message was too difficult for some people. But the message is true nevertheless.

If the followers of Jesus, in His days on Earth, or us today, see ourselves as servants, as willing to help all people regardless of what they can do for us, then we can change our world.

Jesus is still the answer!

The more we can become Jesus, the more we can bring the Divine Presence here and now; the more we can bring Heaven among us!

Have a great week!

Who is Jesus to us?

Jesus asked the question:

Who do you say that I am? Mark 8:29

This is a very important question to answer for ourselves. If we are honest, it will determine how we live now and approach tomorrow.

How did St. Peter’s answer change the trajectory of his life?

We know that Peter led the Church in it’s infancy. We know that he would die as a result of his answer to the question of who is Jesus. We also know that Peter was far from being perfect. He ran away after Jesus was arrested on Good Friday. But he kept coming back!

Being a saint does not mean being perfect, rather it means keep coming back to Jesus!

Peter knew that his only hope was being with Jesus. He said this with his mouth, but more importantly, he lived Jesus!

Saints are role models for us!

It is probably the case that we will not have to die physically for Jesus, but we will have little deaths: death to hate, death to pride, death to greed and whatever is contrary to Jesus!

Jesus is the Christ! May we live Jesus!

Stay in Him!

Happy Feast of St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta!

Jesus Still Heals!

“He does everything well; He even makes the blind see and the mute speak.” Mark 7:37

Jesus is amazing! He will make a difference in our lives, if we turn to Him and Trust Him!

TotalTrust

We may not be able to see what is important around us or we may not be able to hear what is really going on around us. Jesus will help us with sight and hearing because nothing passes His understanding!

Our prayer:

Jesus, help me to see!
Jesus, help me to hear!
So that I may serve You!

Today is the Feast of St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta. She is a wonderful example of what can happen if we have eyes and ears like Jesus. Mother Teresa stayed in prayer and she could see and hear those in need.

We too can be Love like St. Teresa!
We too, in out renewed vision and hearing, can make a positive difference in our world!

It is all about love!

People honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me. Mark 7:7

This quote is very challenging for the faithful person. However, it is helpful to read this quote, which Jesus took from the Prophet Isaiah. Jesus was speaking to the religious leadership of His day but we are the religious leaders of today and we must take Jesus seriously!

Each one of us is called to live lives that bring people to the Lord!

How are our hearts? Do they mirror the Heart of Jesus or are they hearts of the world?

It is a wonderful custom to examine our day before we go to bed. An important question we could asks ourselves is: where was our hearts today? Did our action show that our hearts belong and follow Jesus? The more we are honest with ourselves, the more Christlike we can become.

Follow The Lord!

Choose Life!

This is hard to hear. John 6:60

Peter said: You have the Words of Eternal Life.
John 6:68

We have a choice to make! We can follow St. Peter as he followed Jesus or we can follow former disciples of Jesus who left Him and returned to their former lives.

What a friend we have in Jesus!

There are great benefits In having Jesus as our companion. His Word is both challenging and consoling. However, we must have the Full Jesus to find the peace that only He can bring!

Kenosis Life!

Happy Feast of Mary’s Assumption!

This Sunday the Solemnity of Mary’s Assumption replaces the regular Sunday Liturgy. Why? What is so important about Mary joining her Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in glory? It all begins with the Incarnation!

I am the Handmaid of the Lord, be it done onto me as you have said. Luke 1:38

The process that led to the mystery we celebrated today is total surrender to the Divine Will, that is kenosis. We celebrate the fact that Mary was totally God’s possession and when her time on Earth was over, she went to the One who totally owned her.

This is our example, we belong to God, but do we live that way? Let us continue to surrender and give ourselves totally to the One who made us and who wants us totally!

Eternal Life Now!

Christ Our Life!

Amen, amen I say to you: He that believes in Me, has eternal life. John 6:47

Jesus is our everything! He is our Bread of Life! But to receive this awesome gift, we must believe.

Familiarity breeds contempt!

In St. John 6: 41-51 we see that those who were listening to Jesus, after He preformed a great miracle, remembered He was from a family in Nazareth and this became an obstacle to receiving the gift of eternal life from Him. But some did believe and experienced eternity in their lives, that is, Heaven in their lives.

We have a choice to make today!

Do we believe in Jesus enough that the very core of our lives are changed? Jesus prayed that the Father’s Kingdom would be a present reality on Earth as it is in Heaven. Are we ready to make this Eternal Kingdom present today in our lives?
